Lake Bennett is a beautiful place. |Unfortunately the “resort” leaves a lot to be desired. Nice lake, swimming & views- but nothing “resort” like about the facility. Thank goodness we didn’t stay there! |Extremely poorly run with …
Unfortunately this was not a great experience for us. We went to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and we were very disappointed. We checked in and went to our room to discover cobwebs and bugs throughout. Now I understand it's in the outback and there are going to be bugs etc but not to the point of ants running over the basin in bathroom upon check in. The bed was a king size which was good but not very comfy. The fan in the room did not work, some of the lights did not work and we had no hot water in the shower even though it came through the basin. The view of the lake was amazing but unfortunately that's all that was going well for us. Dinner both nights wasn't good. Friday was pizza night and it took an hour for our 2 pizzas to be ready. Saturday we ate of the normal menu. Time was much better with about a 20min wait but the food wasn't worth eating. We had eggs your way for breakfast and thankfully the poached eggs were cooked beautifully. The service was good but we won't go back
We had booked Delago Resort at Lake Bennett in the Northern Territory for a special New Year's Eve dinner to celebrate two birthdays in our group of 16, including 4 children and 12 adults. Despite weeks of planning to ensure a smooth …
Beautiful place to enjoy the Lake.
The “resort” ….wouldn’t stay there.
The restaurant- facility is nice - but let down by lack of food, service & care factor.
Large group let down on New Years Eve - leaving without eating due to kitchen refusing to take orders & running out of food - despite a booking well in advance. Plus advertised music cancelled. Happy New Year 😡
Extremely poor management with zero care factor.
Very poor service!
We made a booking a month in advance for 15 people at the restaurant.
When making the booking, the staff were very blazae with their responses, very little care about the booking. When we arrived at the restaurant, staff had to put our tables together as they were not ready, funny that. We purchased the kids' meals while we waited for one couple who were running a few minutes late. Kids' meals came out quickly with no hassle. 15 minutes later, we went to order the rest of our meals only to be told we had to wait 20 minutes to order as the kitchen was an hour behind. Disappointed, we waited 20 minutes and returned to the bar to order again, only to be told the same response as before. Wait 20 minutes, and the kitchen is an hour behind in orders.
After approximately 40 minutes, we went to order, only to be told that they had very little food left, that most of the main dishes would not be available to us, and it would be about an hour before we would be served our food.
Disappointed we left without buying meals. We were not the only people in the restaurant who were treated the same way. There were other families as well.
If you are planning a trip to Lake Bennett and are staying in the resort rooms then don’t. To actually call these rooms resort rooms is a disgrace, my shed in the backyard is in better condition. The balcony has holes where the old plumbing …
I had not been to out to Lake Bennett for many years and was excited to visit it once again whilst bringing in the new year with interstate family and friends; Two of which were celebrating a birthday's.|1900hrs, New Years eve and told we …
Location on the lake was beautiful, everything else was massively disappointing. The king sized room was a great size, the bed was big and very comfortable, and clean bedding. The rest of the room was disgustingly dirty, tired and just not maintained at all. Cobwebs and bugs galore it really was horrible. The bathroom was totally unhygienic. As we were booked for 2 nights, after the first night we actually went to Litchfield outback resort instead and spent the whole day and evening there, as our room just wasn't good enough for us to stay in. The restaurant was no better unfortunately. The wait for food was very long, then when it did come it was cold and just off putting. I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay in one of the private cabins if you visit. Also a dog was allowed to wander around the resort. Lovely and friendly, however it is a big black & white dog and if you are fearful like I am, it caused me anxiety.
